Hi there. I'm having a very weird problem with JFW and Sapi. I had it first under ESpeak and now with the Dimitris voice from Acapella. Anyway, it'll read some pages fine but some, like gmail, it'll read with different voices from another synth. For instance, it'll read the word link with one voice and then the subject with another. Also, when I'm writing in Wordpad and words are surrounded by things like parenthesies or quotes or have question marks in the middle of the sentence (did that just for experiment's sake) The Dimitris voice will stop speaking and ESpeak will stop. Sometimes, it gets stuck and stops altogether. I know that if I removed ESpeak, the SAM voice would come up cause that's how it was in the beginning.
Can anyone please tell me what's going on and how I can fix this? I'd really appreciate it.
go to the jaws default configuration manager, in the set options, select speach and sounds manager and select classic and give ok. save the changes and come out of it.

Here's the weird thing. I did select classic. But I'll try again.
Jaws seams to have a lot of problems with sapi drivers. Especially sapi4 never worked for me. But i had the same problem as you with jaws 10 and the espeak voice.
I don't know why they don't fix these problems and they find it more important to introduce jaws tandem, and other new features without fixing the existing problems.
Anyway where did you find the Dimitris voice and how much is it? I heard a sample of him and it is the best Greek voice that came out. I just hope it is responsive and it doesn't speak 2 seconds after pressing a key because unfortunately this is what happens with sapi voices. That's why i like more espeak even it is not as natural because it is the lightest voice ever and the most responsive.
